The function of the Lane is multiple- besides its basic use for riding bikes and rollerblading, this lane will be used by the citizens for skateboarding, walking, running, recreation etc. Because of the fact that riding a bike is the most popular form of recreation, many people use their bikes as a method of transport to work as well as a healthy way of physical activity, and simply enjoying while riding. Riding a bike has positive influences on people’s health, reduces the risk of the most frequent diseases of modern time (cancer, diabetes, blood pressure etc.), helps against stress and depression. The total length is 3,840 m with an east- west direction, passing between the south side of the river Banshica by the Dondukov and Slivnica Streets and is divided into five spans. The location is prepared with all the necessary contents for the function of the Object as well as with required communication areas for servicing the functions. The Lane is built in such a way not to reduce the profile of the regulatory basin of the river Banshica, thus not obstructing the free maximum flow of water in the river. The Lane does not endanger the eco system of the river Banshica as well as the city of Kyustendil. The bicycle- rollerblading lane is built in the central urban area of the city of Kyustendil according to the Project itself. The existing institutions and/ or object for health, social and educational activities are within the building site of the city of Kyustendil at a proper distance from the Lane. The Line is very important because of: Protection from emissions in the air, in waters, sewages, soils, from waste pollution, from noise, vibrations and non ionic radiation, Influence on people’s health and on the cultural and natural heritage, etc.
