Bread, butter and marmalade… the energy on the move

Description

Pane, burro e marmellata is an initiative organized by Municipality of Vicenza’s Sport and Education Department to promote sport physical activities and healthy eating.

Targets are children from 3 to 10 years. Vicenza Primary schools and kindergartens were invited to join the event. Children from third, fourth and fifth grade primary schools were been involved on small challenges of basketball, volleyball, handball, rugby, football, badminton. Children from kindergartens and first and second grade of primary school were been involved on games like “ruba code”, “svuota campo”, “pizza pazza”, special gymnastic paths.

Results and impact

On Wednesdays 10^th  and Thursday 11^th  May, 3929 pupils played in 36 game stations, for about an hour and a half:

• 2207 children from third, fourth and fifth grade primary schools;
• 1722 children from kindergarden and first and second grade primary schools.
